2022 five-star combo guard Skyy Clark will announce his college decision on October 22, and although North Carolina has been trending as of late, one recruiting expert believes Kentucky is still the leader. Yesterday, 247 Sports’ Jerry Meyer wrote that he thinks Clark will pick the Cats over the Tarheels, Memphis, and UCLA.
“Kentucky was regarded as the early leader for Clark, but then North Carolina made a surge and some felt took the lead over Kentucky. My take is that despite developments like North Carolina’s inroads with Clark, Kentucky has been the leader and remains the leader.”
Earlier this month, several recruiting writers flipped their picks from Kentucky to North Carolina in Rivals’ Commitment Forecast, including Corey Evans. Last night, Jake Weingarten reported that Clark has completed calls with each finalist and is now focused on making a decision. I’m a big fan of this kid already, so let’s hope he makes the right one.
