Six wins and maybe 8 thanks Stoops and all the coaches and players. Only 14 seniors on this team . Things are looking good for the future of Ky Football.

Yes, some young stars to watch as they get even better, and finally the extra month of practice. Future definitely bright.

That extra month of practice will be huge in keeping momentum going into next year, and for continued player development as well.

nah. i was confused how a team that was as bad as austin peay got that much of a head start, but not nervous. i had no thoughts in my mind that they were going to lose that game

No. I honestly think that senior day made the team a little emotional (especially the seniors), and that it took them a little while to refocus. Johnson not starting didn’t do us any favors either. We simply play better with Stephen Johnson at the helm.

They came out flat after a heart breaker to UGA and looking ahead to their #1 rival… against a team that hadn’t won a game since Carter was in office. Tough spot to be in, really. Hard to find the heart and emotion and all-out fight for 3-straight weeks. Yeah, not surprising or upsetting. Hanging 40+ after 13-0was far more indicative of what we really are.

At one point I think I said that if we lost that game, they should just fold up the football program, bulldoze the stadium, and build a 55K basketball arena on the site. 🙂

Only a moron would be unhappy with Briscoe. He’s tough as nails, plays great defense, has already made Fox and Monk better because they have to go against him in practice (their words), and has improved his shooting, especially from the free throw line.

So, I am off work on Wednesday, and the girls are off from school. How easy would it be to get some decent seats for the game outside Rupp? Would a better option be the eRupption zone?

I can probably get the two usual tickets that I use in sec 23, but there will be 3 of us. Wondering if I would be able to sneak down there with the kids if I just bought a single seat somewhere else. Looking for a light crowd on Wednesday with so many people traveling and the weird start time.

Before you start backing Austin Peay, return to the Personal Foul at the end of the half. In retaliation for the accidental/incidental lower leg injury to their lineman on the next play two guys laid on the linebackers legs while the other guy kicked him in the face.

I am glad that we are finally going to a bowl game, but I am a little disappointed at some of the lost opportunities that we whiffed on this year. Losing that first game, and losing our grasp on the UGA game still sting a bit, and imagine where we would be if we had won those games. Hoping that Stoops will make a change at the DC position after this year and bring someone in who can really bolster our defensive performance. I like what Gran has been doing, but the fact that Stoops had to come in and clean up Elliot’s mess speaks volumes about the lack of performance there.

Duqhesne’s coach got T’d up for dropping an F-bomb too, so you get an idea where that comes from.

I had a 7th grader yell out “dig the F-ing ball” during a game last year. Pretty sure she picked that up from her club volleyball coach – he was famous for dropping F-bombs and kicking chairs, throwing clipboards, etc. Kids pick up on that stuff.

Good to see cats paw take some time from crying over UofLoL’s devastating loss to AAC Houston, completely dashing any hopes of the CFP chances. That’s dedication, folks.

Damn, and to think: a Heisman front runner, all that talent, and no titles to show for it… must be the coaching.

Bobby’s never beaten a top 25 team on the road.

At Miami in 2003. Got up to a big lead, let them come back and win. Cost UL an undefeated season and trip to the BCS.

At WVU in 2005. Lost a 17 point lead in 4th quarter. Cost UL a Big East championship and another BCS.

    At Rutgers in 2006.

At Clemson this year. Team came out rattled in the first half, not ready to play. Came back but then blew a 4th qtr lead. Cost UL the ACC.

At Houston. Biggest circus shtshow I have ever seen. Team outplayed in every facet. Cost UL a shot at the playoff.

Bobby can’t get it done in the big road game, and you can’t win national titles without them. Those are self evident truths.
