There isn’t a whole lot to say when you get beat 13-0 so we are going to keep this one short. For the second night in a row, the Reds managed just three hits against the Indians pitching staff. There was simply nothing going at the plate tonight and it resulted in a lopsided shutout as the Ohio Cup remained in Cleveland once again.
Luis Castillo pitched five innings for the Reds giving up three runs on four hits while walking four and striking out nine. After that, the bullpen surrendered 10 additional runs and surrendered five walks. Jose De Leon had a very rough debut for Cincinnati giving up eight runs on four hits in his 1 2/3 innings of work.

The Indians got on the scoreboard early with a first inning Home Run from Jose Ramirez. The score remained at 1-0 until the fifth inning when Ramirez once again drove in a run with a triple to deep right field. The flood gates really opened in the seventh inning where the Tribe pushed across their final ten runs.
The Reds return to action tomorrow evening as they travel to Milwaukee for a three game weekend series. Trevor Bauer will take the mound at 7:10 p.m Eastern Time opposite Brewers Right-Hander Eric Lauer.
