Rashad Vaughn scores 12 in front of Calipari, ready to set up visit to Kentucky

As many of you just saw on ESPNU, Rashad Vaughn scored 12 points in his first game back from a knee injury today.  John Calipari and Orlando Antigua made the trek to Massachusetts to see Vaughn play, and afterwards, the talented 2014 shooting guard told reporters he enjoyed playing in front of Cal: “It was fun, I talked to him a couple of days ago and he said he was going to come up and watch.”

Vaughn is one of the last big recruits left in the 2014 class, and is down to Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina, Iowa State, and UNLV.  He’s got a visit to North Carolina scheduled for next month, and said he’ll “probably try to set up Kentucky’s visit soon.”  What does he like about UNC and UK? “I just like both the coaches, genuine guys, I like both their styles of play,” Vaughn said.  He hopes to announce his decision in “March or the end of February.”

Right now, Rashad Vaughn’s Crystal Ball Predictions sit at 42% Iowa State, 29% UNLV, 21% UK, and 6% UNC.

Thanks to the Derby Classic’s Mike Gandolfo for the video of Vaughn’s remarks.
