How about a little basketball recruiting news to start the morning? R.J. Barrett, the number one player in the 2018 class, just set his decision date.
In a blog for USA Today High School Sports, Barrett says he will announce his college of choice on November 10 in a ceremony in Canada. He’s down to Duke, Oregon, and Kentucky after eliminating Michigan and Arizona last weekend. Lately, Duke’s had the momentum for the talented small forward, with some speculating his decision could come any day; however, Barrett insists in the blog that he hasn’t made his mind up yet, which is very good news for Kentucky.
“I don’t know where I’m going yet,” Barrett writes. “I just set the date because I want to get it over with before the season starts and that should be enough time to come up with the right decision.”
