Quade Green welcomes Baker to the team

Quade Green is the outgoing vocal leader of John Calipari’s latest crop of incoming talent so it shouldn’t be a surprise that he was quick to reach out to Jemarl Baker after today’s big news.

Green wrote to his new teammate on Twitter, simply telling him, “Welcome bruh.” Green also included the handwriting emoji, which one would assume is for Baker signing with UK.

Baker may find himself backing up (or competing with) Green at point guard as lists that as his natural position. But he was brought in for shooting and that full-time point guard spot belongs to Green. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will also be in the mix at PG.

You ready for a Green-Diallo-Alexander-Baker backcourt? Maybe one more?

As far as I’m concerned, anyone else at this point is welcome icing on the cake. This is now a good looking, balanced class – assuming we get one of Bam/Humphries back, we’re in good shape.

And for all the “why don’t we get four year players” this backcourt should give them exactly what they want. Three players who “seem” to be 3-4 year players, but we all know they won’t be happy with that, but it’s going to be up to them to prove they are more than that.

Those “fans” will never be happy. The only thing that could possibly make them happy is a title almost every year. And in their minds that’s not asking or expecting too much.

Isn’t this the 34% 3 point shooter? Maybe Cal knows something we don’t.

It’s a good sign how green is being the vocal leader of the team to be,shows that he has accepted the challenge of “This place isn’t for everyone”,I like what I’m hearing from Green at this time. .
