Quade Green suffers concussion, may not play in the Nike Hoop Summit

quade-green-33

And now, for some unfortunate news from Portland: according to Jonathan Givony of Draft Express, future UK point guard Quade Green suffered a concussion this morning during a scrimmage at the Nike Hoop Summit. As a result, Green won’t practice the rest of the day and is unlikely to play in the main event tomorrow night. Bummer.

If Quade’s unable to suit up, you’ll still be able to see (at least) three future Cats play Friday night at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Shai Alexander and Nick Richards will play for the World Team, while Jarred Vanderbilt will play for Team USA, which also includes Mohamed Bamba and Kevin Knox.

Here’s Quade’s latest mixtape to make up for the bad news:

No wonder so many all of our guys committed right after him. His court vision is great. Lob city is coming back big time next season.

You obviously didn’t see his less than mediocre performance in the recent McDonald’s game – leading his losing Team in shots taken and turnovers…

He’ll be great here, but that bounce pass in the paint might work in HS, but that’s a TO 80% of the time in D1.
