Prepare to have your mind blown by this armless ping pong player

I’ve won my fair share of ping pong games while wasting away in a fraternity house, but I would expect nothing less than embarrassment if Ibrahim Hamato ever crossed my path.  The Japanese ping ponger lost his arms in an accident as a child, but that did not deter him from playing his favorite sport.

The video shows Hamato holding his own during the 2014 World Table Tennis Championships in Tokyo.  He puts some nasty spin on every shot, but the craziest part of his game is his serve (wait til the VERY end of the video).

Good lookin’ SB Nation.

Not to nit-pick but he isn’t Japanese. He’s from Egypt. The tournament is in Japan. This is according to the Youtube notes with the vid.

I feel like I’m just getting sloppy seconds from Barstool Sports on here. It’s pretty obvious most of the writers on here keep up with Barstool Blog.

All the stuff on Barstool is just ripped off of Deadspin which is just ripping off reddit. So who cares?

Impressive but the players were going at maybe 5-10% of what they are capable of!

Hey, thanks for posting this. I’ll be sharing it with some students with mild disabilities who think they can’t do a lot of things.

Great guy. Nice family. His mom used to make the best gefilte fish tempura you’ve ever tasted.
