That SEC Inside show hit me right in the feels all over again. Somebody was apparently chopping some onions near me about the time Stoops gave that game ball to Schlarman.. Very well done!

  2. UK-Florida full game…you’re welcome 🙂

I see they’ve moved the Wake up due to the hurricane. Boy, Boston College better get out of town in a hurry.

Matt definitely sounds scared to manage wrestling alongside Suntan.

      Is it wrestling season?

Well as far as I’m concerned, it’s never wrestling season.

Speaking of them being dorks. I had to listen to the podcast yesterday instead of live. Why was Matt repeatedly claiming his music taste as evidence of his manly side? Huh? No women like old country music?

My point exactly. I will watch it in the Olympics, though.

A few years ago, I was at the KY State Fair Board on business (in the building attached to Freedom Hall), and I went to take a peek in the arena and walked in on rehearsal for WWE Smackdown. I watched the show later just out of curiosity, and it was like a replay of what I had seen. lol

    • Olympic rasslin’ is fake. 😉

    • BTW, I guess it was like a dream come true for STD to be in the ring with King Lawler. I remember seeing him wrestle on TV when I was a kid in Lexington. I think it was channel 18 that carried it. I saw Jerry Jarrett, Tojo Yamamoto & the Von Brauner brothers live in the Lexington Catholic High School gym. I didn’t know for years that it was Jarrett who was the promoter in the Memphis territory for years when Lawler really became the biggest star there.

Realme, Matt had to find something to cling to for his mancard to remain valid, so old country music was all he could come up with.

LOL, Benny is chasing the UK career rushing record…he’s not going to sit.

It would be so great if the team would take nothing but steps forward this season, so Benny can be a real Heisman candidate.

It’s a tough call. He could get two games worth of yards in this one, but it makes sense to save him for later in the season.

Play Benny in the first half to keep him sharp and get us off to a good start, then give other guys more reps and sit him to rest and not risk injuries for the second half.

Benny is in the talk with some about the Heisman. Lets say we are ahead by 25 going in the fourth do you let him keep playing and getting all the yards he can or do you sit him?

    • runningunnin.454
      10:35 am September 13, 2018 Permalink

That’s a tough one; but, I’m not going to tell him he can’t play.

    • I say (hopefully) squash them then sit him at the end of the 3rd, or maybe midway.

Also, if we do mash them, I say get Gunnar some reps in case Terry ever gets hurt. Of course there’s the danger some will say “Told you so!” if Gunnar plays really well, even if TT has played lights out.

I was upset with his three TO’s in the first game; but, for me, after the way he played in the swamp it’s TT all the way. He was calm and cool in a very intimidating situation.

    • Same here. It’s just that injuries happen. TT does need to get the TO’s down, and hopefully all the jitters are gone and hopefully that’s all it was.

I would say play Benny for a quarter, then let the others gets some reps if we are rolling. Same for TT.

That former band director was at UK when I was there. Those concerts he was talking about gave me the opportunity to shake Cawood Ledford’s hand and tell him how much I appreciated his work. He was just as humble and personable as you might imagine.

The thing that sticks with me from the Trent DiGuierro murder is not only the senselessness of the crime, but the way it affected Bill Curry. He personally cleaned up the blood from that front porch. How many coaches would do that? You can draw some parallels of Curry’s coaching tenure to Jimmy Carter’s presidency. Both were maligned for the job they did, but both are also exceptional, compassionate human beings.

And Shane Ragland is the ultimate douche.
