Potential UK target reclassifies to 2015

swanigan

Fort Wayne (Ind.) Homestead big man Caleb Swanigan is no stranger to playing up.

Just a rising junior, Swanigan (6-8, 265)  has been playing up on the 17U Indiana-based Spiece AAU travel team on the Nike EYBL circuit, where he’s averaging 19.0 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game and has recorded a double-double in seven of eight outings thus far this spring.

That kind of play led Swanigan to announce via Twitter Monday what many had been suspecting for weeks: the former 2016 5-star prospect will reclassify to 2015.

It had been rumored last month that Kentucky had offered Swanigan, but he says the UK staff reached out to him recently and said they would accept his commitment regardless of class.

Cool but when did he reclassify from the 1998 class to the 2016 class in the first place? Dude’s got that Greg Oden syndrome.

Live in area. Kid is an athlete. Alabama made a visit to his high school to look at him for football. He is a beast of a defensive lineman, as well. Smart kid that is athletic and physical. I’d take him.
