Penny Hardaway no longer visiting Terrence Clarke

Kentucky is the heavy favorite for 2021 five-star wing Terrence Clarke, who will announce his college decision Saturday at 1 p.m. Earlier this week, a report came out that Memphis head coach Penny Hardaway was going to visit Clarke today to make a last-minute pitch, but that is no longer the case.

ESPN’s Adam Finkelstein is reporting that Penny is not making the trip to Massachusetts to see Clarke, essentially conceding him to John Calipari.

Not only is Clarke expected to pick Kentucky, he’s expected to reclassify to 2020. Between his announcement on Saturday and four-star forward Lance Ware’s announcement tomorrow, Kentucky’s 2020 recruiting class is poised to take a big leap.

Dude is already 18. His game is college ready now. There’s no better HS player in the country, trust me.

He is 3rd in the national ranking, so not only he shouldn’t be mentioned with the above one and dones, but who’s the 2 that’s better?? Only asking cause he has that potential to be one of the greats but if theres 2 better, I’m not aware of them.

kyjelly, he’s not saying that he’s that good already. He’s saying that as of right now, when those guys were at this stage, that he is that type of crazy blue chip prospect coming out of HS,just as those guys were. In that case he’doesn’t be When you have recruiting analyst saying he is the number 2 ranked player in all of HS, only behind Emoni Bates, regardless of class.. Then a Jerry Meyer saying he is top 5 2G, among ALL OF THE 2G’s at this point in their career, that he has scouted over a 30-year career, and many saying he is a legit top 5 player in all up HS, regardless of class, then he is most definitely that level of recruit!! You just don’t that type kid in every class, and lucky to get one every couple classes, even at a Kentucky, Duke, Kansas Etc Blue Blood School. We have top 2 classo in every yr, Cal’s first 10yrs of classes, and there’s only been a small handful of these guys we’ve gotten.. Been plenty that developed into that type player, but as far as being a top 5 top guy, regardless of class, that are in talks of a possible future top draft pick, those only come here and there. He checks every box that you’re looking for to reach that criteria! I love Josh Christopher and Jalen Green. But there’s no way I would take either one of them over him if I can only have one.

Imo, if you can add Todd (special imo) along with Clarke, and Boston, who has all the makings to be very special. Another yr of age, and a summer of College wt. prog, and as BJ adds strength, watch out.. Idk when we’ve ever had 2 wings, legit 6-6 to 6-7, both very long, can handle like a lead guard, great intangibles, both very athletic, (Clarke really freaky athletic) both can score at all 3 levels, shoot off catch or create off dribble.. Just not many boxes you can ck on either guy, of things missing from their game.. Only thing can’t totally judge til you see a big serving of them in games of D1 action, is just how much IQ they have, and how mentally strong they are. But as far as raw skill, they ck every box, including elite size & length 4 the position… I’ll tk my chances. Add Todd, everything else is icing on the BIG BLUE CAKE!!!! lol #BBN #UKfor9!!!!!!!!!

Exactly l. He’s definitely NOT better than the first 3 but yes he’s a highly rated prospect that we’ve been missing on is what I’m saying
