They could talk about all of Wisconsin”s national basketball championships. Should be good for about 11 seconds…since there’s only one, and anybody that would remember it is probably dead. I know they scored a grand total of 39 points in the title game; and, if you asked any of the players about their “jump shot”, they would have said…..Huh?

I take it you don’t like the Badgers.

Never think about them….Nick brought them up.

  2. After last year, no thank you. What this year? Will they bring in the entire 2015 Wisky team?

In the words of George H.W. Bush, as interpreted by Dana Carvey, “Nah gah dah!!!”

    Catch you all tomorrow maybe.

    CATS!!!

Don’t leave, law of averages dictates they’re going to say something funny….eventually.

    • Sorry, I didn’t log on to the show at all. Didn’t want to validate their presence with a click on iHeart. I’ll probably check the comments another time or 2.

Deez pop up ads doe. Hopefully Adblocker Plus will eventually be able to block them.

Gave the guest host the benefit of the doubt yesterday. People who have to be a$$holes to get a laugh and all who follow these jerks will get my vote with a turn off iheart. Drew, ryan and STD for hosts. Fire the rest of the replacements !!! Or shut it down til Matt gets back !!! Boooo !!!!

Best shows by a mile are minus Matt. To each their own.

I already turned the show off today. I don’t get why people like these guys at all, they just aren’t funny and the last thing I want to do is hear them sarcastically put down Kentucky for two hours.

They’re really funny if you can laugh at yourself. And they openly welcome you to fire back at them. It’s all in good fun. People take shit to serious.

i listen to them every once in a while. they aren’t THAT bad. most uk fans only hear them when they are on ksr and they are exactly the type of folks to use sarcasm and what not. They really have no beef against UK and anybody taking offense to their style of “comedy” really just doesn’t get it.

Look I don’t LOVE them, but they’re not bad either.

I get it; but, when does it get funny? I haven’t got all day….I have to go watch my grass grow and turn on my automatic sprinklers.

they’re not for everyone. and i don’t think everything they say is funny. but they’ve got their moments. and they’ve got one of the hottest podcasts out there right now, so apparently enough people agree. no offense but this isn’t 1980 anymore. you don’t have to appease everyone to be successful. just enough people to make you money. and they’re doing that.
to each his own i guess.

The hosts may suck, but this is a good topic for discussion. If anyone is still in the comments section here, who do you think the grittiest UK players are/were?

Mine: Tyler Ulis, Isaiah Briscoe, Dominique Hawkins, MKG, Chuck Hayes.

Feel free to discuss football players too.

      Tyler Ulis….hands down.

Or every single player on Pitino’s first UK team.

I have to throw both of the Epps in as gritty, Anthony and Makayla.

    • The entire 1975 team that had to play tackle football to knock off the undefeated IU team in the tourney. I remember reading where Joe B and some of the players talked about how physical the game was. I think Kevin Grevey mentioned how sore he was the next day.

    • ukkatzfan

I will go with Fitch, Ulis, chuck Hayes. I will also add 3 more. Ramel Bradley, Joe Crawford and Jorts and they have Gilespie to thank for that.

I don’t mind that they’re offensive; I’ve been seeing click bait like them since the birth of the internet. I mind that they’re not funny. I mind they only know enough about sports to piss people off. I feel cheated of my two hours of sports talk radio because they’re there. I’m not going to listen- not because I’m mad, but because they’re boring.

Let’s face it: no one can replace our guys. I think they’re boring too and as a woman listener I think they’re gross at times. Porn star or race horse? Are you all 17?

KSR and Pardon My Take are two of my favorite shows so needless to say I really liked the show today. Big Cat’s snarky sense of humor can take some getting used to but I think PMT and Drew Barker are two of the wittiest people I’ve ever heard. Seems like too many of my fellow UK fans can’t have a sense of humor in laughing at themselves a little. I think this would work better if Matt or Drew would have been on the show with them to debate. I can’t believe Ryan sat there silently the entire show. I forgot he was on until he read an ad.

Pardon My Take and KSR are the two best shows out there. If you’ve ever listened to PMT before you get the humor. Very little they say is serious. It’s a comedy, slapstick sports podcasts that just makes jokes about everything. They have amazing guests and the interviews are hilarious. Kentucky listeners who have never listened to them may not get them but they are beloved throughout the sports community and with the KSR staff. You don’t have to be so uptight all the time and it’s ok to look into the mirror and laugh at ourselves sometimes.

Blake Griffin interviews are hilarious. Made me like a guy I had no opinion of whatsoever previously.

I gave it one segment. I tune in for a sports talk show, not a bad attempt at satirical comedy. I get what they are trying to do, it just falls flat.

In their own element appealing to their base, that’s one thing. Going on a sports talk radio show and trying to be a satirical and sarcastic sports talk show to a base that doesn’t want it is something else entirely. Look at it like this: Put Larry The Cable Guy in any southern town and he kills it. Take him and let him perform in The Apollo and he gets two hours of crickets. These guys hosting KSR is their version of Larry at The Apollo.

Great show today!!! Those dudes are great. First time I’ve listened to them. Hilarious! I hope Matt continues to have them host in his absence. 100 times better than the show with Drew, Ryan and his wife. Now that was one of the worst excuses for a show I’ve ever heard.

If you enjoyed today’s show you should definitely listen to the Pardon My Take podcasts. They are even better IMO. They had to be a bit careful today due to FCC rules.

Love the PMT guys. I also love the angry Kentucky folks that cant comprehend the joke. hopefully the sklar bro’s listened to figure out how to run a comedy podcast.

I gave them one segment today. Meh.

KSR listeners are used to amiable, positive personalities who are often funny without having to try to manufacture it. Thus, there was quite a difference today from the usual.

But, to each their own, and I’m glad some people enjoyed it. However, to the PMT guys and their fans that want to think that the KSR audience “doesn’t get it”; sorry, we get it – it’s just tired and unfunny.

This. I gave them a shot again this year after the awful show last year, and I lasted one segment. KSR, please, do not invite those sad attempts at comedy back next year.
