Papa John is on the new board at Louisville

Governor Matt Bevin took a short break from taking selfies today to name 10 new appointments to the University of Louisville Board of Trustees.

The names were announced via a press release from the governor’s office and are as follows:

J. David Grissom, of Louisville, Ky., for a term expiring June 29, 2022.
John H. Schnatter, of Louisville, Ky., for a term expiring June 29, 2021.
Sandra Frazier, of Louisville, Ky., for a term expiring June 29, 2020.
Nitin Sahney, of Prospect, Ky., for a term expiring June 29, 2020.
Bonita K. Black, of Crestwood, Ky., for a term expiring June 29, 2019.
Douglas Cobb, of Prospect, Ky., for a term expiring June 29, 2019.
Ulysses Lee Bridgeman Jr., of Louisville, Ky., for a term expiring June 29, 2018.
Ronald L. Wright, MD, of Prospect, Ky., for a term expiring June 29, 2018.
Dale J. Boden, of Louisville, Ky., for a term expiring June 29, 2017.
Diane B. Medley, of Ekron, Ky., for a term expiring June 29, 2017.

In order of appearance on that list, it looks like the board has a lawyer, a pizza mogul, a PR owner, a former CEO of Omnicare, another lawyer, a guy with a beard, a former basketball star, a doctor, the president of B F Capital and Business First’s 2014 “Enterprising Woman of Achievement.” (According to very brief Google searches by name.)

A previous report of new board members on KSR turned out to be incorrect. That’s my bad.

Not only is he on the board, but he’s set up to be the second-longest serving member.

Odds the board and Bevin deal with Ramsey’s foundation shenanigans or whatever?
