After deciding to remain in the 2021 class last week, Paolo Banchero has scheduled his official visits. The five-star power forward from Seattle tweeted that he will visit Kentucky for Big Blue Madness on October 11.

Banchero will visit North Carolina on September 27, Duke on October 17, Tennessee on October 25, and Gonzaga on January 18. Home state Washington was considered the early frontrunner (his parents both played there), and although the Huskies are not getting an official visit, he’s visited them unofficially several times.

Banchero is considered the top power forward and a top five overall prospect in the 2021 class by 247 Sports, ESPN, and Rivals. I really enjoy this description of his game from Rivals’ Corey Evans.

“What Banchero brings to the floor is an all-encompassing skillset that wreaks havoc from 20-feet and in. One of the very best standouts on the Nike EYBL circuit, NBPA Top 100 Camp, and at the USA Basketball Mini-Camp this summer, Banchero sets the bar for what a premier frontcourt prospect looks like and would be an immediate producer regardless of his year of enrollment and for which program that he ultimately selects.”

Yes, please. Watch him work below.

This is the guy we want. Tremendous talent who will instantly be the best player on any team he joins. Lock as a lottery pick. Could go directly to the pro ranks.

In an absolutely perfect world he commits to UK as a junior and sets up UK for this spring into the summer and a stellar fall next year. Would be just the momentum UK needs.
