P.J. Washington commits to KENTUCKY

Add one more name to Kentucky’s commitment list as five-star power forward P.J. Washington has pledged his commitment to the class. Washington, a senior at Finlay Prep out in Las Vegas, picked the Cats over North Carolina and UNLV.
On this morning’s KSR, Scout.com’s Evan Daniels said, “He’s a 6-7 versatile forward with a 7-2 wingspan, very active, very versatile scorer. He can score the ball posted up or he can score it making jumpshots from midrange, can attack from the high post. He’s one of the best rebounders in the country. I think he’ll probably play a lot of power forward but it wouldn’t surprise me if he moved over and played the three, too.”
Washington took his official to Lexington back in September, then turned right around and came back for a second look at Big Blue Madness. He was on his official visit to UNLV last weekend, but it wasn’t enough to sway him away from Kentucky, which was the longtime favorite in his recruitment.
For those of you keeping score, Calipari is now two-for-two on the day with two frontcourt players to begin building his next class around.
What a Thursday, huh?

Sexton picked Alabama tonight, so if they add Petty, they’ll have a 5* backcourt next year. Can we have some wishful thinking that this will push Petty to us instead?
Really excited to have Washington on board! Also on an unrelated note, his suit/tie/hat combo was on point.
I’m unsure why were recruiting so many forwards and not guards? we forsure well have tai humpries and SKJ next year in the front court. with all of our guards looking to go pro dom graduating. our back court is empty
