This morning on Kentucky Roll Call (a morning radio show hosted by KSR’s Nick Roush and myself) we had Tom Droney (Tshiebwe’s AAU and high school coach) on the show to talk about Oscar Tshiebwe’s game, recruitment and pronunciation of his last name.

We received answers on all three topics:

  • Tshiebwe’s an energy player with an ever growing offensive game that will completely outwork and outhustle his opponents.
  • Droney admitted that West Virginia is in the best spot as of today, but noted that Tshiebwe remains uncommitted and is open to Baylor, Illinois and UK. Obviously UK is a major player because they made his final four but were late to the party and haven’t offered.
  • Shoob (like lube but instead of an L it’s SH)-way (if you don’t know how to pronounce way then call Ryan Lemond and he will help).

Listen to the entire interview here:

Kentucky Roll Call airs 8-10 a.m. weekdays on 1450 AM and 96.1 FM in Louisville.

How is Kentucky final four but has not offered? Is there from the Cats?

It probably means he is hoping for an offer and wants to keep that in play while crossing several other schools off the list.
