One day closer to them Gators (Thursday Show Thread)

Good morning, friends, and welcome to the Thursday edition of Kentucky Sports Radio. We’re another day closer to UK’s game against Florida, and while trying to find goofy pictures of Florida fans this morning, I stumbled upon this creepy GIF. Now I can’t stop watching it. Think of it as the face Ryan Lemond makes when he hears you don’t listen to the show everyday.ย Don’t do that to Ryan Lemond. Turn on the radio/streaming device.

Join in on the fun by calling (502) 571-1080.

Getting closer to Saturday. I hear the weather keeps getting better. A chance for a shower or two, but not a down pour like first thought.

So Louisville fans gave us crap for not selling out our stadium the week leading up to the home opener of the New CWS…. well we sold out our opener. and with currently fewer seats. they failed to do the same on a beautiful Saturday Afternoon with perfect weather. What will be their excuse when they fail to sellout a Thursday night game? Not getting up for a top 10-12 team?

I was 1 in 86, now I will be in the stands when we finally break that streak! I’m looking for Josh Forrest to have double digit tackles and Khalid Henderson to have two sacks. I would like to see Hatcher play well on the edge but we’ll just have to see. Good luck CAYTS and bring it home!

  23. How can UL have the easiest bball schedule in the country??? Dey sposed to be ACC!!!

Seriously, they must be playing a real cupcake schedule out of conference if this is accurate. I guess maybe they also don’t play some of the tougher conference teams, or play them once instead of twice in some cases.

    • J-Dub421
      11:07 am September 17, 2015 Permalink

I think they were only rating their pre-season schedule, not their full schedule. However, I’m not really sold on the ACC being that tough. There are a few good teams at the top of the ACC, but the drop off is pretty steep.

aside from the two games they are contractually obligated to play, they don’t play another team in the top 100 except maybe WKU

The article I saw said UK had the toughest schedule, and Louisville had the “most disappointing” schedule. That wouldn’t necessarily mean it’s the flat out easiest, just that it’s the lamest relative to their status.

  25. Just Googled it. UNF is in Jacksonville.

In Georgia lots of JC’s have gone 4 year and changed their names, and lots of small schools have merged to become multi-campus universities and changed their names, so you could have the same thing going on in Florida.

Am I the only one that worries that we started great last season and then fell apart in the second half? We were all this excited last year and then ended up not making a bowl. Of course we have a couple easy games late this time, but still…

    • Think positive thoughts man, think positive thoughts.

    • J-Dub421

Our schedule is more balanced this season, and we have more home games. Those close games we lost last season were all on the road, and this season those teams come to us. I still have that niggling worry in the back of my mind just like you do, but I keep ignoring it. Stay positive and keep the faith! Our football culture is slowly changing.
