The good people at Mashable teamed up with Match.com to find the most frequently used words on dating profiles across the United States. The dating service dug through thousands and thousands of profiles to find out which words are unique to each each state — and the results are all over the place.
Lonely lovers in Nebraska tend to use the word “farm.” Predictable.
In Las Vegas, they say “casino.” Makes sense.
Ohio, “bonfires.” Okay. Weird, but okay.
Michigan, also “bonfires.” What’s going on up there?
In Indiana, they say “NASCAR.” In Tennessee, “porch.”
And Kentucky, yup, “BASKETBALL.” You people are crazy.
