No postseason for the baseball team

UK Athletics

As expected, Kentucky failed to make the NCAA baseball tournament. The Wildcats had a shot if they had performed better in the SEC tournament, but losing to Alabama in the first game in Hoover did not help the case for a postseason invite.

The Cats finished the year with a 32-25 record. The end to the season was a huge disappointment, no doubt.

You want postseason? Don’t lose to WKU, NKU and EKU….it is really as simple as that.

Not going to argue with that. It is a long season – in a BEAST conference. No excuse. Just breaking it down & marginally agreeing.

Now, does Barnhart have the stones to get us a new baseball coach that can win? I highly doubt it. Mitch, like most of the BBN, couldn’t care less about baseball and are probably shocked we have a team. More status quo from Barnhart while UofL baseball is on the verge of winning the national title …their programs are light years ahead of ours. Embarrassing.

You do know the SEC has 7 teams hosting in the tourney, it is a beast of a conference in baseball and softball. We had several series wins over those teams hosting. Had a bad finish to the season and, as mentioned above, those non-conference losses were the nail. Worse teams got an at large, Nebraska, Washington etc. Going .500 in the SEC is actually a pretty successful season. Coach should not be fired, he has us in a good spot for next season if he can land a few key recruits.

UofL uses underaged prostitutes to get players. That seems like a different ball game than UK plays.

Henderson has done a decent job, but he has some of the worst facilities in the SEC. Just like football, it is tough to recruit when your place is a dump! Barnhart has committed to the upgrade, but it will still be a couple years before that is completed.

I despise UL as much as anybody, but Dan McDonald is a class act and many schools would die to have facilities like they do, and unfortunately they aren’t going to fall into the ocean anytime soon…….
