No one knows where Jamal Murray is going

Apr26.Jamal_Murray_WEB

We’re now two hours away from Jamal Murray’s highly anticipated announcement and the five-star guard has done an outstanding job of keeping his decision a secret. Word usually leaks by now in these cases, but Murray has somehow managed to keep things in house without a leak to the media.

On this morning’s KSR, Scout.com’s Evan Daniels told our listeners, “I think pretty much everybody is in the dark.”

Daniels once believed it would be Kentucky, but now he’s not so sure it will be UK in the end. The tweet last week from an Oregon player has many thinking it will now be Oregon, although anything is possible when it comes to Murray.

We will soon find out where he will play his college basketball next season, but for now, we continue to wait.

Two hours…

Is the announcement at 6 PM Canadian time? That’s actually in 18 minutes.

Time hasn’t been invented yet in Canada. I spent two hours in a restaurant for one meal, and that was the best explanation that I could come up with.

i just don’t understand why drizzy drake hasn’t stepped in and basically taken over the recruitment on this kid… they’re from the same town for God’s sake.

I think that would be an NCAA violation.

I’m telling myself he’s going to Oregon. And he probably will. But wouldn’t it just be a fitting end to this wacky recruiting season if the one guy we’ve all but accepted is a goner leading into his announcement–the one none of us REALLY expect to get–decides to be a Cat. Here’s to hoping.

The way this year has gone, the kid will come out and announce that he’s going to Butler.
