The Cats found out their fate Sunday evening during ESPN’s televised selection show, which they watched alongside some loyal members of the BBN inside Memorial Coliseum.
Head Coach Craig Skinner and seniors Leah Edmond and Gabby Curry each took to Periscope to respond to the team’s seeding, potential matchups and home-court advantage. Take a look:

“You’re just always honored to get the chance to host an NCAA tournament,” Coach Skinner said. “You get to the beginning of the year and there’s expectations because of where you are seeded and ranked, but it’s really hard to go through a season and do what you do and give yourself the best chance to do it. So, just honored to have the chance to get after it with this team and a chance to do it on our home floor.”
Bowling Green, Kentucky was also selected as a host city for the tournament. Western Kentucky earned a No. 15 seed, and they will face-off against Kennesaw State in the first round. The Louisville volleyball team, as well as the team from Samford University, will also play in that region.
