Newman’s Friday announcement will stream live online

Malik Newman will announce his college decision this Friday at 1:00 pm in a closed press conference from somewhere (not his high school) in Mississippi. The Clarion-Ledger has an invite to attend and will exclusively stream the announcement on its website. We will have a running diary and a link to the stream here on KSR, so make sure you’re free that afternoon.

247 Sports’ Jerry Meyer predicts Mississippi State for the five-star guard. I’m not sure Newman could make a worse decision if that’s the case, but whatever. His life, not mine.

Please pick Kentucky.

I just have a feeling that he is going to come to UK. I mean he has been close with Cal for a while, and he always mentioned Cal and UK since the beginning. No officials but took about 2 or 3 UN-officials to UK, Kentucky isn’t exactly up the road from him either. UK cleared the deck for him no Harrison twins, besides why go to Miss State? Even with Newman, they aren’t in the top half of the SEC. I know they have Ben Howland, but they need JESUS! That is a project for any coach. LSU is a bigger threat I think. Even if he goes elsewhere, which I sure hope he doesn’t, he’d be the best since John Wall. All is not lost because J. Brown is the bigger GET for UK, Briscoe is better than we all thought, he can hold down the 2 guard spot. We have not had a threat at the 3 since MKG, A.Poythress is not good enough there, I’m sorry. Brown and Diallo makes UK no.1 in recruiting and No.1 pre-season.

Good luck no matter where he chooses but all the bits and pieces on the ‘net say Malik wants to be “the man” and he can do that better in Starkville than Lexington. At MSU he will get all the shots he can handle….won’t be that way with UK. Just my gut feeling.

On Elizabeth Holmes: “At 19 years old, Holmes dropped out of Stanford University. She had a little tuition money and a big idea. Now, at 31, she’s … the youngest female billionaire in the world.”

These one and done kids are now ruining science too!!
