It’s been over three years since this trio of former UK Hoops stars were able to suit up for the same team, but that’s about to change; Maci Morris, Taylor Murray, and Makayla Epps are back together once again.

The Tennessee Conductors, one of eight franchises formed out of the newly-established Women’s Professional Basketball Association (WPBA), has signed all three of the one-time Kentucky Wildcats to headline its roster.

According to the team’s Instagram account, Morris, Murray, and Epps are three of only four players that have been officially announced as members of the team. Morris actually agreed to sign with the Conductors back in the middle of May. As for Epps and Murray, the former agreed to a deal not long after Morris while the latter signed earlier in June.

While Morris and Murray graduated following the conclusion of the 2018-19 season, they still played two seasons with Epps, who graduated a couple of years earlier in 2017. All three are widely recognized as some of the program’s all-time great guards with skills that covered a multitude of areas on both ends of the floor. Morris and Epps were both born and raised in Kentucky, as well.

The WPBA has been in the preparation stages for a few years now and planned on tipping off its first season this year with an expansion into the midwest beginning in 2021, however, the coronavirus pandemic has obviously put a delay on those plans. WPBA Commissioner Tamika Milburn released a statement in May providing an update on the league, affirming that they’ll have to postpone the inaugural season until the Spring of 2021.

According to the organization’s website, the WPBA is the only official alternate professional league to the WNBA.
