NBA.com has been running a video series where Lang Whittaker has asked the rookies random questions. The most recent one was ‘if you could change your first name, what would you change it to?’ Luckily for Whittaker and NBA fans across the country he asked the best man for the job, Willie Cauley-Stein, who changed his hairstyle weekly and already changed his name once.
What was Cauley-Stein’s answer? Professor. Because, of course. Honestly though, Professor Trill Cauley-Stein would have encouraged me to go to more classes during my time at Kentucky.
Whittaker also asked Devin Booker, who came up with the name Marty. Where Marty came from is open to interpretation. I like to think he’s just a big Marty Booker fan though – the 2002 Pro Bowl Wide Receiver.
So, if you had to come up with new first names for Cauley-Stein and Booker, what would you call them?
