Yesterday the freshmen we’ve been dreaming about since they made their declaration of loyalty to the BBN arrived on campus. Sacha Killeya-Jones and Bam Adebayo were quick to take advantage of the campus University of Kentucky Snapchat filter to show fans they are here and ready to get things underway.

Tai Wynyard entered the 3×3 World Championships as the reigning MVP. His team also won the tournament last year. Wynyard and his New Zealand team finished pool play 4-0 but fell in the semifinals to Qatar. Wynyard finished the event as the second-leading scorer and was even dubbed the Player of the Day following yesterday’s performance against Hungary. Hopefully this will be something to build on going into the season at UK.

Why wouldn’t you be with Steph after game 1? Neither Steph nor Klay Thompson had their usual dominant games; but, the Cavs couldn’t handle the Warriors’ bench. The Cavs can’t defend. If you can’t cover a team’s 2nd string, you have little chance of winning.
As for Ali, last night in boxing venues all over the world, he was honored with the traditional 10 count, or ten bells as it’s called. Very poignant….RIP, Champ.

Reminds me of what Garry Shandling told Seinfeld on “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” Said he wanted a boxing referee at his grave giving him the count. ” … 4 … 5 … 6…” Then the refs waves his hands and calls the fight: “It’s over! He’s not getting up!”

That was both funny and poignant, as Garry would die not long after filming that episode.
