In his seventh year in the league, the former Wildcat finished with a career-low 6.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per game.
Going into the season, Kidd-Gilchrist had started in all but four of 357 career games for the Hornets. This year, the 6-foot-7 wing came off the bench for 61 of his 64 contests.
The former Kentucky star is also recovering from a surgical procedure he underwent last week to address a chronic groin strain. He is expected to be back in time for training camp, per the Hornets.
