Matt Elam‘s 247 Sports Crystal Ball predictions currently sit at 61% Kentucky and 39% Alabama, but there has been some interesting movement this morning.  247Sports National Recruiting Insider Ryan Bartow switched his pick from Kentucky to Alabama about a half hour ago.  Bartow has gotten 77% of his picks correct this year.  Read into that what you will.

My balls are blue if that helps determine who he is picking.

I hope they don’t bash him if he goes ‘Bama. I would be disappointed like everyone else but we can’t bash bball players who don’t want to come here and play for UK because we are one of the best and then get mad when a local kid does the same thing in football. The mere fact we’re still in it for this kid shows how far we’ve come and that is hopefully a small grain of hope for how things will change around here. That being said.. C’mon pick the Cats!

Micah Johnson was a 5-star recruit. #2 LB in the country. This was in 2006 with the modern measures and recruiting services. Will KSR please acknowledge they’ve been making a mistake this whole time and give past credit where it is due!

Don’t bash the kid or hate on him. He’s making a choice that may impact his future and he’s got to do what he feels is best for him and his situation. The only time I hate is when a kid picks and commits and then later drops it. Make sure you’ve thought it out, gone over it and and are sure of yourself before you commit. If he goes to Alabama, I hope he has much success. If he picks Kentucky, then I hope he has tons of success! It’s a game to me, but to these kids, it could be the rest of their lives. Can’t fault them for taking an opportunity that not many get.

He should go to Bama the same way a top basketball recruit SHOULD go to UK. Still, I hope he makes the “wrong” decision.
