Marlana VanHoose steps outside of Kentucky to sing for the NBA

marla

I don’t know how this slipped past my radar because I’m her biggest fan on the planet, but Marlana VanHoose sang the national anthem two weeks ago in Indianapolis before Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, then again Tuesday night before Game 2 of the conference finals. She sang it in Brooklyn back in April, too.

Watch her first time with the Pacers here:

Or see the others after the jump below. (Definitely watch the one in Brooklyn.)

Seriously, though. She’s incredible. I want her to sing every song on my iPod.

Hey Ralph, Get your fat ass off the couch and go do something constructive before you critique someone who sings our country’s National Anthem in front of thousands of people and nails it. The best part of you ran down the crack of your momma’s ass and ended up the brown stain on the mattress. Sorry, but people like this make me want to smack the crap out of someone. geesh

I think the NFL needs her to sing at the next Super Bowl! She is far superior to nearly all of the past performances.

Beautiful. And I’m glad “Born Ready” didn’t push her down any stairs.

Wow!! Just Wow!! This kid has an awesome voice. Side note: it’s okay to be tone deaf, but combine that with stupid and the result is a RALPH!

Thanks. You all responding to my comment gave me just what I was wanting: attention – something my parents never gave me.

    That, and class.

Why is she wearing sunglasses indoors?

She is an amazing talent. She is wearing sunglasses indoors because she is blind. She was born with CMV, a virus that can cause developmental disorders. Now try to talk some more trash (Ralph) about any young person, especially Marlana, that had the priveledge to sing the National Anthem and does it better than most! Are you jealous of all of the attention she is getting for being awesome instead of negative?
