Typical UK fans demeaning a 17-18 year old kid but if he chose UK, “OH HE’S THE BEST SG, I’VE EVER SEEN”

Let’s not dismiss or disparage the kid for picking another school. Kentucky isn’t for everyone, but let’s not pretend he chose UDub because he didn’t want to give the effort or face the challenge at UK. That’s just petty. Stay classy, BBN.

You UK fans crack me up, you just can’t get over the simple fact, NO ONE WANTS TO GO TO UK. That’s why you all are going after Canadians, and Australians.

Yeah, those Canadians can’t play ball.

Thats exactly the reason. Another selfish guard thats wants the ball in his hands at all times. Just like Newman. No place for that in lex. Overrated for sure. Another 5 star that goes overseas. Should have went to the ville. Would fit right in.

He will enjoy playing before 5300 yawning fans at Washington State……..and instead of hanging with Drake he’ll be taking square-dancing lessons and fly fishing……..of course he’ll be a backup SG in the Korean “B” league anyway………

He picked Washington not Washington State. Washington is in Seattle, which is a very cosmopolitan & sophisticated city. At least one expert thinks maybe UK didn’t go after him full bore, preferring another recruit. However, he is an excellent player who will do well in college if he avoids injury in all probability, so I think we should not tear the kid down. He did what was best for him. He is a great high school player who just went elsewhere – best of luck to him.

Thank you JLP for your positive comment. Kentucky did not really want this individual. He would not have ‘fit in’ here in Lexington. He will be happier in Washington so let’s not blame the kid for making what was the right decision for him. He knew not to come to Kentucky and disappoint himself or BBN. Have we not yet learned that there is always a good reason that we do not heavily recruit some players and they end up elsewhere? Trust me, we DO get the ones we really want.

Seattle is sophisticated and cosmopolitan? Ha ha ha ha. Okay.
Frankfort has more inherent culture than Seattle does. Futhermore,
Seattleites and Washingtonians don’t know **** about basketball
and could care even less. Most of ’em said “Good riddance” to
the Sonics and have no use whatsoever for hoops. If you consider
the US Navy, Microsoft, Boeing and Amazon, “sophisticated”
then okay. But really mostly, it’s a bunch of pudgy white guys
having bromances over beers before they go back to programming
submarines, computers, airplanes or a stupid website where you
can buy 50# bags of gummi bears that put you in the ER.

Not that I really care, but I was aware that he committed to Washington…….the Washington St reference was generalizing the road game atmosphere in a middlin’ conference……instead of being on ESPNHD every night, he’ll be on a local TV delayed broadcast, right after “Fly Fishing With Frank”……the 11:30 slot………..
