Mark Stoops to visit with Elijah Sindelar because Sindelar is good at football

KSR is hearing Mark Stoops is scheduled to travel to western Kentucky, the best part of the state, to meet with class of 2015 super-recruit Elijah Sindelar on Thursday. Sindelar is a pro-style quarterback at Caldwell County, ranked 18th at his position by 247Sports in the class. The pride of Princeton currently holds offers from UK, Western Kentucky, and Toledo, but more are on the way because everyone we know who has seen him say he is the real deal.

He’s already attended camp at Alabama, if that tells you anything.

Come on down.

Question to people in west KY who have seen him and know the scene: how good/what kind of numbers would he have if he was playing for Haskins at McCracken?

Pretty sure he already has an SEC offer from Ole Miss as well, but i could be wrong. I think he will commit to KY soon though.

I suggest Coach Stoops stop by Pagliai’s for some of the most awesome pizza I’ve ever had!

He looks really young in that picture. I know he’s just a junior, but that must be at least a year old, right?

I hope the kid turns out to be great, if he comes to UK. We all like to see Kentucky guys do well. I don’t know what the competetion difference is and I know he’s a junior, but Drew Barker has blown the numbers DaCats86 posted away in some games. Even in the first half in a couple. I just hope if he comes here I hope he’s ready to sit while Barker is doing his thing.

No he hasn’t. Sindelar’s numbers were across the board better AND ES many times played only into the 3rd quarter and with a running clock. His “numbers” are fine.

This kid isn’t any different than Patrick Towles – HS wonder but collegiate washout…..

He is not that good, maybe an OVC QB at his best

I have never seen this young man play football…

However, I may be wrong but I believe Sindelar is the SAME Quarterback that Dale Mueller, Head Football Coach at Highlands High School, called “one of the best high school Quarterbacks I have ever seen”.

THAT, in itself, say’s a LOT about this young man’s talent.

    ON…ON…U OF K

Sindelar is a legit prospect and will make some program extremely happy. He has a cannon for an arm, and has great vision while evading pressure.

I can’t understand “randomly” pulling one game’s stats and using that as analysis of some weakness. Drew Barker’s stats against Anderson Co. were 6-of-24 passing for 124 yards, and many consider him to be UK football’s savior.

I’ve yet to see Barker play live, but if Sindelar commits to UK there will be serious competition at the QB spot – and that is GREAT for the program.

I’m in the neighboring county and have had the pleasure of watching this kid play in about 15 games. When our school is off or out of the playoffs, I’m watching him play. He has a cannon of an arm and has good speed. I’ve watched a lot of hs football and he’s as good as I’ve seen (sure some will disagree). My understanding he’s a straight A student and a real good kid. He has a big frame at 6’5. I’d love to see him in Blue and White.

Isn’t this the kid who got absolutely shutdown by Tony Brown and Marlon Humphrey at the Bama camp? Brown is a 5* Bama commit and Humphrey is another 5* who will soon be another Bama commit.

I played for Coach Barnes at Daviess County in Owensboro…This kid is probably the most talented kid and definitely the highest rated kid he’s ever coached. I’m not sure he’s ever coached a kid that went to an FBS school on scholarship…I know Alex Johnson suited up for Georgia Tech as a walk on, but never played and there were several D-II and a couple of FCS kids but that was it. I hope this kid turns out for him!

Kid is the goods. No clue what his mental capacities are for the game but he’s got the best arm I’ve ever seen in KY. Not as talented overall as Couch or Brohm but he has an NFL arm. Accuracy is iffy and that may be his biggest concern. Maybe not as good an overall prospect as Barker but extremely good and a definite take at UK. Would be by far the second best Cat prospect at QB since Woodson with Barker being the top. JMO

If I’m not mistaken, he is a highly rated baseball player also- and may be leaning towards baseball in college…….
