Malik Monk Wins Nike MVP in Front of Coach Cal

The second July evaluation period is in full swing and this week several of the nation’s top rising seniors have been taking part in the Nike Global Challenge in Chicago. Among the recruits in action today were Malik Monk, Miles Bridges and Marques Bolden, all guys Cal would love to have in Lexington. It was Monk was named the tournament’s MVP today after his USA South team beat USA West 120-109 to win the Nike Global Challenge. With Coach Calipari in the stands he turned in a¬† 22 point, 13 rebound and four-assist game and only sat for 1 minute. Monk is the fifth ranked player in next year’s class and Kentucky and Arkansas want him bad. Naturally both Cal and Mike Anderson were in attendance to witness his game today.

Think Cal will be in Atlanta tonight to see Josh Jackson¬† play in the Under Armour Finals in Atlanta? I’d say it’s a safe bet. Here’s a bit of what he’s been doing so far:

    That was an unbelievable performance. This kid would be a superstar here
