Malik Monk Started Slow, Finished Strong in a Win on ESPNU

Screen Shot 2016-01-22 at 6.43.07 PM

It wasn’t the best shooting night for Malik Monk, but he kept grinding until they finally started falling.  He scored 14 straight points for Bentonville in the fourth quarter23 in the second half, finishing with 29 points and 15 rebounds in a blowout 80-59 victory over El Dorado and Top 100 forward, Daniel Gafford.

Monk is known for his shooting and athletic ability, but when shots were’t falling, he was getting his teammates open shots with great passes.

He eventually willed a 3-pointer through the net from the top of the key in the third quarter.

And of course, he managed to get a highlight reel dunk.

But that putback slam wasn’t as impressive as this dunk on the fast break.
