3-star QB Mac Jones reiterated his commitment to UK this morning on Larry Vaught’s program on WLAP.

The class of 2017 commit recently received an offer from West Virginia and seemed like he might be wavering after the departure of offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson. However, while Mac said that he will visit other schools, he will also visit UK two or three more times and plans on keeping his commitment for the time being.

Along with that, Jones also gave his prediction on who UK’s next offensive coordinator would be. After talking with Stoops, he thinks Cincinnati’s Eddie Gran is the most likely option, with Miami’s James Coley being the second.

As long as these guys don’t like to run the ball on third and long, either should be an upgrade.

Glad to hear it. By the way, Larry Vaught is a contributor to the show on WLAP. The show is Sunday Morning Sports Talk hosted by Mark Berger and Anthony White. I think they’re hosting KSR tomorrow.

Plans on keeping his commitment for the time being: yea that’s called hedging his beats. Visiting other schools & still unsigned; he’s committed until he isn’t.

I have a feeling he is still tentative. It also depends on what type of QB Gran would recruit himself. The air raid/spread system may work well in the big ten/12 but not so much in the SEC.

True Kentucky Fans to not turn on the players.

It is one thing to question Coaching but to throw 18-22 year olds under the bus because of poor play is quite another matter.

I have been very disappointed with the level of mean spirited comments directed at players this past season. It tends to be the same ones over and over. What they do not realize is the players read these threads and it hurts to hear it.

When u have an offensive line that can’t block 5 year old girls, running on 3rd and long might be ur best option!
