Lynn Bowden Jr.’s NFL career continues to get off to a rocky start.

The Miami Dolphins today announced they have placed Bowden on the reserve/COVID-19 list, meaning the former Wildcat will not be active for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Those placed on the reserve-COVID-19 list have either tested positive for COVID-19 or have been quarantined following close contact with an infected person or persons. Bowden becomes the first Dolphins player to go on the list since August.

This news comes just a week after Bowden was a healthy scratch last week against the Rams.

The rookie wide receiver has played in just four games with one start for the Dolphins this season, totaling four carries for nine yards (2.3 avg.) and one reception for -1 yard. The former Kentucky star was acquired by the Dolphins in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders back on Sept. 5.

Bowden was drafted in the third round with the 80th overall pick by the Raiders back in April.

Hate to see him off to such a rough start. We definitely could’ve used him this year and he could’ve used the work at WR. Would’ve been win-win.

Should we be concerned? Did the forced flight from Vegas to Miami have wings?

I’m afraid Bowden is going to be a short timer.
