Four-star athlete Lynn Bowden announced he will be a Kentucky Wildcat. The nation’s No. 5 athlete and No. 160 prospect overall chose Kentucky over Penn State and West Virginia.
The Youngstown-native was recruited by a pair of Youngstown’s finest, Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow. Bowden becomes the 23rd player in the 2017 class. The highest-ranked player in the class, Kentucky’s Top 25 class should become a Top 20 class, jumping the likes of Florida and Arkansas in the process.
Bowden was this year’s Mr. Ohio runner-up, falling just short to former UK commit Michael Warren. Still, Bowden’s senior statistics are ridiculous: 2,277 rushing yards, 1,366 passing yards and 57 total touchdowns. Bowden finished his career with 4,178 rushing yards. In his four years he broke almost every school record held by Ohio State’s National Championship-winning running back Maurice Clarett. Watch how he racked up some of those statistics.
Stay tuned for more on what Bowden’s announcement means to Kentucky.
