A few recruiting tidbits before you start your night:
— 2015 shooting guard Luke Kennard took his second unofficial visit to Kentucky this month this past weekend. His father told the Herald-Leader’s Ben Roberts that the family decided to swing by Lexington after dropping their daughter off at college:
“It was kind of a spur of the moment thing. We just kind of stopped in. It wasn’t anything big. Not anything too exciting – we just stopped in to say hello and that was basically it.”
Luke and his parents spoke to Cal for about 20 minutes then got back on the road to Ohio. He’s considered the 21st best player in the 2015 class by Rivals and has offers from North Carolina, Indiana, Duke, and others. Two visits in three week? Sounds like he wants to be a Cat to me.
Kennard’s father tells ZagsBlog that his son will narrow his list of schools in the next two to three weeks.
— In 2014 recruiting news, Stanley Johnson tells The Courier-Journal’s Steve Jones that he’ll have an in-home visit with Calipari on September 12th. He’s scheduled to take his official visit to Kentucky for Big Blue Madness on October 18th.
Go get ’em, Cal.
