Louisville’s Recklessness is Embarrassing

Screen Shot 2015-10-02 at 6.32.28 PM

When the news of Louisville’s escort service broke yesterday, shock and disbelief were not the first reactions for many.  It’s not because the BBN expects this type of behavior to create punchlines, it’s because it was old news.  Seriously.

I know some people, but I don’t always get scoop.  Especially immediately.  Yesterday I heard the name “Andre McGee” instantly.  I was pretty pumped to be one of the first to know, but boy was I wrong.

When stuff happens at Louisville, I actually am pretty well connected with student-athletes.  I may even know more at UofL than at UK.  But I didn’t need to hear it from them.  When I went to hang out with some high school buddies to shoot some pool and cut up, the overwhelming opinion was, “Finally.”  They had known about the ridiculousness for years, and for no special reason at all.  They’re just students.  They knew because it was common knowledge on campus.

The recklessness of Louisville is actually kind of sad.  Matt was criticized for making the “bold” statement that Chane Behanan wouldn’t make it through the year at UofL because of off the court issues, he was simply stating public knowledge.  You didn’t need to know anybody special, you just needed to be 18-24 in the UofL social scene.

Rick said he asked around to see if people knew about what was going on.  I don’t know who he was asking, but all he had to do was find a stranger on campus and they probably could have told him the story.

It’s going on at the most sanctioned program in NCAA history and you all know it. Don’t act all righteous when you pull down your banners and Pay Pal Cal makes an exit to another program because of his shady dealings.

Ever find that you have trouble ripping banners down from the rafters after you have been sanction by the NCAA? Ricky Three Stacks here for a new invention that will revolutionize the art of vacating wins and National Titles. Velcro Banners. Velcro Banners are easy to apply, just take off the protective covering, stick to the back of the banner and to the front of the surface to hang the banner, and wallah! You have an easy to remove piece of history in case of NCAA sanctions meaning that Andre McGee, the prostitute-loving director of basketball operations self were guilty as sin but Tom Jurich, wink wink, decided you were too good for business.

No more cherry pickers, no more having to get the janitor to walk the cat walk. Just use the include free pole to grasp the bottom of the banner and gently tug to allow the vacated piece of cheating, prostituting lore fall to the arena floor.

This post struck me more as you bragging that you knew before most people, than anything of actual relevancy (considering there wasn’t much relevant at all in this post).

That being said, I couldn’t be happier that this is coming to light, and I can’t wait to see that 2013 banner come down. The Mashburn Jersey curse lives on!

You completely missed the point of this article.

He was stating that they weren’t even concerned about doing a good job at hiding this stuff, and for their administration to feign denial just makes it all the more ridiculous.

I love it. The “I knew it all along”, after the allegation, line. Such bull. You guys are so in love with yourselves.

I’ve yet to see one single piece of evidence. At this point it is absolutely no different whatsoever than the news breaking of Davis receiving $250,000. It’s literally the same exact thing, EXCEPT the person reporting the Davis story wasn’t a criminal.

Nor was the company publishing the AD story bent out of shape about stealing the best recruiter at IU in the last 30 years. If you morons can’t see a the holes in this story, and the lack of any credible evidence, then I don’t know what to tell you.

I can think of one other small difference – the Anthony Davis story was given to a high school beat writer by an anonymous source with zero details that could be checked for accuracy – dates, names, method of payment, etc.

On the other hand, this story is given by a non-anonymous source, co-authored by a writer who won a pulitzer for investigative journalism, and is absolutely loaded with details that can be falsified, and if not, would blow the case wide open.

So no, it’s not at all the same. Again, if a couple of those details that are too specific to guess are corroborated, suddenly, you don’t have a basketball coaching staff anymore.

      Good luck with that.

pitino and petrino adulterators. Their players abuse women. But this. This is a whole different level. 17 year old young men being forced into sex so as to not look foolish in front of their home boys. I’ve already read the book and if you have not you wouldnt know what i mean by saying they were forced. it is truly unbelievable and I pray for everyone involved in the name of Jesus christ. Peyton siva is one of 3 cardinals I truly always had respect for, and in the book she mentions how he wouldn’t succumb to their ways. Good on you peyton. Chane behannon, montrezl, Russ, chris smith, Preston knowles, and others I will continue to pray for you all. It truly makes me sad.

This entire situation is especially embarrassing for UofL fans in general. Calipari and UK reside in their heads rent free, and for the past five years, weekly threads and articles have been written about the cheating ways of their immoral rivals to the east. All of that hubris in their proverbial glass houses… and now this. Were one looking for a spot-on example of irony, it couldn’t get more exact.

Rejoice UK fans. No longer will you have to tolerate the “holier than thou” attitude of Louisville fans. The imaginary pedestal they stand on just collapsed on itself, with them on it.

Whether this happened or not will come out in the next few weeks. However, I found the following quote from Jurich about Pitino incredible…

“We talk all the time. He’s my basketball coach,” Jurich said. “He wouldn’t condone this, either. He has a perfect track record.”

I guess being married and having sex with a woman you just met in the back room of an Italian restaurant, then sending your equipment manager to drive her to another city for to have an abortion doesn’t make it on your record in Jurich’s world.
