Today’s Kentucky Sports Radio radio show included an interview with a rising star in music, rapper Jack Harlow. A Louisville native and graduate of Atherton High School, Harlow is climbing the charts at only 22 years old with his hit new single, “What’s Poppin.”
He joined the show as part of KSR Guest Week to talk about his meteoric rise in rap and why he roots for those dirty birds over the Kentucky Wildcats. The way he tells it, he had a choice at a young age and went with his hometown team.
“There was a window, there was an opportunity for me to be a Kentucky fan. My dad went to UK,” he explained. “I grew up growing to Freedom Hall games, my grandfather would take me to those games, I’m from Louisville specifically so I always thought there was something special about representing the specific city I’m from.” His brother and best friend are Kentucky fans, he added.
Later in the interview I tried to convince him to join BBN. It’s not happening.
