Louisville police’s high-speed chase ends in Indiana after almost an hour

It took dozens of Louisville Metro Police vehicles to chase down a red pickup truck and bring the suspect into custody Thursday afternoon. The chase began in Louisville and ended in a field in Floyd County, Indiana after 40 minutes of pursuit.

I don’t know what happened that led to the chase, nor am I an expert on the matter, but I do know the LMP should invest in some sort of training for things like this moving forward. Maybe invest in a video game console with Grand Theft Auto or have the entire force over for action movie night.

Timothy Burke of @bubbaprog captured the video from WLKY:

The chase wasn’t a great performance, but they sure did put a whoopin’ on that suspect as they took him into custody.

And Twitter was there for reaction:

#1… purse thief? The juice isnt worth the squeeze here, LMPD!

#2… This dude is going to lawyer up and claim excessive force was used during his arrest – with evidence. Don’t misunderstand, I believe he deserved a lot worse than he received and those dudes were jacked with adrenalin, but there were quite a few taking (what appear to be unwarranted shots.

This is now all over National news.

A couple of LMPD’s finest will be/are now in trouble.

    I don’t blame them.

    You run?

    You get beat.

This will not turn out well.

Despite the testosteronic mind-boggliing intelligence-supressing anger-rage precipitating such viscious brutality, it makes sense these humans forgot to recognize that above So. IND. there surely must also be satelites – and noisy hovering helicopters – rolling in digital 24×7.

My only hope is that they found a bottle of Crown Royal and got line beard hairs on their clubs and fists as they ‘talked’ sense into the already senseless.

Liberal comments? Typical, conservative tough guy defending a 12 on 1 senseless beating. Another Ted Nugent, bad-ass wannabe – scared of his own shadow, but a real badman when he has a gun.

Let’s be honest, maybe 50% are good cops and 50% are people who couldn’t cut college or just wanted to carry a gun. The profession isn’t as respectable as it was in the past relative to other professions. You no longer get the top cut of society, you get the bottom. Then you get this. An easy case of the criminal being in the villian. Instead you get a group of emotional men, not thinking, and turning a criminal into a sympathetic figure. Due to the police union, bad officers get passed around and put on paid vacation. Then following blind political retoric, the populous can’t differentiate between supporting all officers and only good officers thus giving support to the problem.

    The cycle continues.

Not sure your percentages are correct, bit I don’t think they are far off. And yeah, and this moron runs from the police and a couple of testosterone filled meat heads, and ho have had extensive training, can’t keep their cool on the job and cause a national story. Several morons involved in this story and there should have only been 1 involved.

LOL, my god. Drew Franklin is obsessed with everything Louisville. If he’s not all over Pitino, Petrino, or Jurich’s nuts then he’s ragging on the LMPD. What next a pothole on Hurstbourne Ln? Grow up, kid.
