One of the Bluegrass’ best golfers is near the top of the leaderboard entering the final round of the PGA’s first gold tournament in months.

Louisville native Justin Thomas shot a 4-under 64 in the third round of the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial to move to 12-under on the tournament, one shot behind tournament leader Xander Schauffele. Jordan Spieth, Gary Woodland, Colin Morikawa and Branden Grace are also tied for second on the leaderboard at 12-under par.

Even though there aren’t fans on the course in Dallas-Fort Worth, Thomas is still waving to the crowd after shots.

Coverage of the fourth and final round begins Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on CBS.

He hates UK and I will root against him all day, every day. Go JB!

Me too. I’d rather cup Patrick Reed’s golf balls in the clubhouse every day than to ever root for Justin Thomas.
