Louisville Linebacker Shawnkel Knight-Goff Commits to KENTUCKY

Another rising gridiron star from the state of Kentucky will stay home to be a Wildcat.

During senior night ceremonies at Doss High School in Louisville, outside linebacker Shawnkel Knight-Goff committed to Kentucky over UofL.

A three-star outside linebacker, the ninth-ranked player from the Commonwealth is a versatile athlete that can play a variety of positions in the middle of the defense.  Knight-Goff is the second Louisville athlete in Kentucky’s 2019 recruiting class, joining Butler wide receiver Demontae “Tae Tae” Crumes.

Knight-Goff originally committed to the Cats back in May.  The short courtship from Vince Marrow drew caution from family members, leading to a de-commitment, but it was meant to be between Kentucky and Knight-Goff.

Kentucky’s 2019 recruiting class is now ranked 36th in the country with 19 commitments.  Marrow has at least six spots to fill and up to three could be from the Commonwealth.  With Wandale Robinson and J.J. Weaver deciding next week, Knight-Goff could be the first domino to fall in an explosive recruiting season finale.

Great news; we need to crack the top 25 in recruiting to keep rising imo. I think if we finish 9-3 this year we will have a very strong recruiting class next year.

Looks like they put together a highlight reel with probably middle school and freshman highlights at the beginning. One kid on defense had a white helmet that was different from the rest of the team.

How many games must we win before we start getting the top 100 guys in the nation. I’m glad we got a in stare kid and he looks like a good ball player but do you think if we end up with two losses this season and win our bowl game, will that equate some 4 star recruits or maybe a 5 star qb possible ??

No east-ky-boy, SKG looks like he’s hittin’ it in the land of OZ. I was quite surprised as well when I started that video and saw him among all those munchkins.
