Louisville is more Sinful than Las Vegas

It’s no secret that Louisville is full of sin, but until recently it was difficult to quantify.

Real estate website Trulia.com compiled the Top 10 Sinful Cities and Saintly Sanctuaries in honor of this day of debauchery, Fat Tuesday.  They based their rankings on the seven deadly sins — lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and vanity, and pride.  The Top 10:

1.  New Orleans
2.  Atlantic City
3.  Philadelphia
4.  Tampa
5.  Toledo, Ohio
6.  Louisville
7.  Shreveport, Lousiana
8.  Las Vegas
9.  San Antonio
10.  Columbus, Ohio

On a day when the Louisville Sex Scandal has been the talk of the town, it’s no surprise the city is more sinful than Vegas, however, lust isn’t what put Louisville ahead of others.  The state’s largest city was ranked in the Top 30 in gluttony, sloth and envy.

If you want to be saintly, I suggest you head to Utah.

1.  Provo-Orem, Utah
2.  Ogden-Clearfield, Utah
3.  Fort Collins, Colorado
4.  Tuscaloosa, Alabama
5.  Raleigh, NC
6.  Claremont, NH-Lebanon, Vermont
7.  Boise, Idaho
8.  Asheville, NC
9.  Greeley, Colorado
10.  Cambridge, Massachusetts

Claremont and Lebanon are both on the NH side of the Connecticut river. No lack of sin up there, just few people.

    Envy. Of course, because 8 > 3 …soon to be 8 > 2

I moved to Orem in October. I gotta agree, I could walk around with money hanging out of my pockets and leave my front door unlocked and not even consider the fact someone would rob me here.

Envy alone could have gotten them that high. They’ve always looked jealously over their shoulder at The Lex.

As someone who lives in the Washington, DC area, I’m shocked that it’s absent from the “sinful” list!

How ironic the Championship team he loved so much that he got that horrible tattoo is the one bringing it all down. It is a scarlet L on his back until he spends big bucks to have it removed.
