I don’t blame you Matt. After running on all cylinders all week, I would much rather just sit down and read/relax on Fridays usually.

Uh…..Harry Potter movies are NUMBERED…..Maybe start at number 1?? :-p I haven’t seen them, but I know where I’d START if I were interested!! lol

      No they aren’t.

they aren’t “numbered” but they are a chronological series and watching them out of order can introduce spoilers

Horrible movie list??? Tombstone should have been on the list! Seen it hundred times

Is that the western where one of the main characters says the work “geek”? Yeah, that’s period correct!

Matt, what is the difference in Andre McGee doing a good deed for kids vs Skal’s people doing good deeds?

Matt, if you are going to correct Dork Burke’s pronunciation of Calipari, please try and pronounce Skal’s last name better. Matt, Labissière has a silent “R”. Not “AIR”, more “AYE”.

    • bigbluecoop
      10:32 am October 12, 2015 Permalink

I agree. Might not be how Skal pronounces it, but that’s how it should be pronounced.

    • ukjaybrat
      10:43 am October 12, 2015 Permalink

      French pronunciation: [labissjɛʁ];

      semivowel
j fief, payer, fille, travail yet

      oral vowel
ɛː fête, maître, mètre, reine, reître, caisse, presse, Lemaistre, Lévesque[5] red

      consonants
ʁ regarder, nôtre[1] roughly like loch (Scottish English)
The French rhotic /ʁ/ is usually uvular, but varies by region. For example, Québec uses both [r] and [ʀ], depending on region and age.

      So both pronunciations are correct.

    • ukjaybrat
      10:52 am October 12, 2015 Permalink

It is typically difficult for Americans to vocalize uvular consonants because English does not have any of them in the language.

skal did give the straight poop on the pronunciation to some interviewer a while back. it was “…air”.

Princess Bride is the greatest romantic comedy of all time. If you say, “Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.” I bet at least 90% of the room knows what you’re talking about.

I just realized that if Florida loses to LSU and Georgia (which is possible) and UK can upset Georgia and win out the SEC, Cats win the East. To even consider that as a small possibility at this point of the season is outrageous to me.

    • ukjaybrat
      11:14 am October 12, 2015 Permalink

also still have to beat tennesee and mississippi state (or florida will need 3 losses)

    • Laker Cat 18
      11:24 am October 12, 2015 Permalink

That is true. I don’t see South Carolina or Vandy coming through for us against Florida. I think we can beat both those teams though. We played MSU very well last year when they were the #1 team in the nation. Dak is tough though.

I feel embarrassed for this idiot. The idea of Louisville Man is a huge joke, and reinforces the idea that the place isn’t particularly great toward women, since they don’t even notice they’re leaving out probably half of their student body by embracing the concept.

More movies that you have to see:

    The Shining
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
    Deliverance
    The Deer Hunter
    Cape Fear
Awakenings (or anything else with both Robert DeNiro and Robin Williams in it)

That diatribe from ” a Louisville Man” sounded like he was auditioning to write for the Funkhouser section of KSR. Even our finest satirists couldn’t create such comedy gold.
That really WAS the worst thing ever written in the Commonwealth. Sweet baby Jesus….
