That didn’t take long. Three hours after the NCAA announced they are upholding their ruling in the Louisville stripper scandal, the 2013 National Championship banner has been taken down from the rafters at the Yum Center.

From WHAS11’s Holden Kurwicki:

For comparison, here’s what the rafters looked like prior to today:

The 2013 National Championship trophy has also been removed:

I wonder what happens to the banner now?

There was absolutely no direct connection or proof Cal had any involvement. Do some research Slater.

No, never worried about Cal cheating. As someone with no interest in UMass or Memphis, I thought at the time that both NCAA decisions were without basis; and unfair to those schools. And, Cal was not involved.
How would UMass stop Camby from interacting with a sports agent…put a guard at his door?
How could Memphis stop a fraudulent SAT exam 500 miles away…send the AD to proctor the exam?
BBNDude your points are patently absurd…as usual.

Regardless of what happens we will NEVER be the first to vacate a national title. That title goes to UL. Enjoy it.

If they were serious about raising money to right their fiscal ship, they should have held a drawing, costing $50.00 a try, for seats inside of YUM to watch that banner hit the floor. Then they could have auctioned off that banner to the highest bidder. Plenty of money could have been raised. Probably enough to cover the legal expenses for UL against Jurich and Pitino.

Cut the banner into strips, put it on a roll and hang in the bathroom next to the toilet.
