The NCAA Men’s Tennis Tournament pushes on today with Sweet 16 action in the singles draw.

Among the 16 remaining players in the field, the University of Kentucky has two still alive in No. 1 overall seed Liam Draxl and No. 14 Gabriel Diallo, and they’re both playing their third-round matches right now.

Draxl is up against Tennessee’s Adam Walton, the tenth-ranked player in the field; while Diallo plays UNC’s William Blumberg after defeating Tennessee’s Martim Prata yesterday. Hopefully Draxl can make it two straight exits for the Vols at the hands of the Cats, and Diallo can finish off the Tar Heel.

Watch both matches live below via

No. 14 Gabriel Diallo (Kentucky) vs. No. 35 William Blumberg (North Carolina)

Holy crap, they’re not doing this the easy way. Four three set matches. Draxl nearly got upset in the first round.

Dang, my boy Draxl loves to give up that 1st set to get his juices flowing!! Nerve-warcking but he’s playing better now! GO BIG BLUE!!

Wow… I’ve never seen them play a service let before. How long has that rule been around?

I’ve seen it for while now…maybe early 2000ish. Hit a bad return and just call a bogus let. Got out of hand.

Draxl to the Elite Eight!! He must have to lose every first set to win the match. Weird. Comeback kid for sure. Ha. Wish Diallo could’ve moved on.
