Listen to eight hours of KSR’s takeover of The Paul Finebaum Show

Matt Jones defied the odds and completed two straight days of hosting Finebaum without stirring up any trouble. He did produce some headlines in Nebraska for his comments about the Huskers football program, but it’s safe to say his debut in the big chair went well and without controversy. John Hayes, the show’s producer, can rest easy now. Thanks for having us, John.

If you were unable to catch Tuesday and Wednesday’s shows, they are now available on podcast in their entirety for your listening pleasure. Click here for the Finebaum podcast feed and then listen to each of the eight hours on the list. (Note: It looks like the date is wrong on Tuesday’s show; 5/24 should be 5/23.)

Here is some of what you can expect to hear:

— Kaylee Hartung on her new job with CNN

— Jay Bilas on Cam Johnson’s transfer restriction

— Matt arguing with an Alabama fan

— Matt arguing with another Alabama fan

— Matt arguing with another Alabama fan

— Matt arguing with another Alabama fan

— Matt arguing with another Alabama fan

— Matt arguing with another Alabama fan

— Freddie Maggard’s absurd knowledge of SEC football

— Potential upsets in the first weekend of the season

— Jim Harbaugh explains the human body

— Ghost hunting in Tuscaloosa

— Living with two wives and families

— Much, much more…

Listen to it all by clicking here and playing each hour from the Finebaum feed.

Finebaum resembles an Alien, point blank.

If human ears never cease growing, like hair/nails, despite his growth Olympic spurt, it’s too bad Barnum & Baily prematurely ceased doing business. He could have elevated it.

However, there is always Ripley’s: Not the Alien franchise – believe it or not.

Pretty good, though Matt was out of his element when talking about Bitcoin.

If he were to bet Phyllis 317 Bitcoin on Alabama vs. Florida State, he would be betting ~$801,157 USD. Obviously his comments were a bit tongue in cheek, but it might behoove him to know a little more about Bitcoin before he argues against it before a large audience. To each his own I suppose.

And as unstable as the federal gov’t appears, I’m not so sure fiat currency such as USD is inherently more reliable than say a cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin. A stronger argument against Bitcoin would probably entail something in regard to the lack of control over its supply. Since the rise of the Federal Reserve, the U.S.has heavily relied upon monetary policy to help stabilize the economy. Prior to its creation the U.S. had several large economic panics and the economy was overall more volatile. Most of the people who vehemently support Bitcoin fall more into the Libertarian group and therefore largely anti-Fed. If anything, I’d think that Matt should argue the importance of the Fed if he’s going to take a stance against Bitcoin.

He is right about Nebraska. They are barely a top 25 program anymore. Same with Tennessee. ND has the best shot of the three to be good again but they will never be on the same level as the SEC powers.
