Great job with the reading of the book last night. Ryan, who’s wig is that? Got a great laugh.

GET’CHA POPCORN READY! I heard like 5 second of the his interview on 93.9 yesterday leaving work. But all the callers afterwards were just blasting the dude saying he was shady, no credibility and they were even more convinced it’s all made up. Of course they were picking apart the things that THEY wanted to hear to make themselves feel better. Will be curious to hear how it goes today. I’ve listened to Louisville talk radio this week for the entertainment of it all and it’s crazy how different Vanetti is taking this vs. Ramsey. If there is ANY question who is the mouthpiece of Jurich we now have proof. Ramsey is Jurich’s little puppet. It’s pure comedy listening to that show. I’ve always liked Vanetti, and this week proved it even more. He is very apprehensive about it; because as anyone who has followed this story knows, there’s a pretty good chance at least a little bit is true. But that clown Ramsey is all up in arms praising Pitino and saying how this is all made up… yada, yada, yada. If you want some entertainment, find 93.9 “The Ville” on iheart radio around 4:00 and listen to Ramsey. You’ll get a good chuckle.

In one of the first articles that came out as this scandal broke (it was an Indianapolis site), it said that the publishing company took the final version of the book and all of Powell’s journals, photos, text messages, etc. to a lawyer to review before they started publishing the book. I’m sure this was to ensure that Louisville wouldn’t have grounds to sue for libel. The lawyer cleared it, so there has to be some kind of credible evidence to support the claims in the book.

I’m as big a cat fan as anyone on here. As much as I hate uofl, I heard that interview yesterday. That guy came across as a buffoon. Even said the girls were not hookers. Lol.

Don’t get your hopes up J dub. First off, I believe the Indianapolis site you refer to that broke the news was IBJ, which just so happens to be the publisher of the book (or has the same owner). There are no texts to review. They don’t exist anymore. The book notes that the content of the texts come from “Powell’s memory”. And of course Powell formed an LLC in a move that would limit her liability.
I think this is going to turn out to be a few lap dances that can’t be traced to Pitino or Jurich. UofL will take themselves out of the ACC tourney and NCAA this year, and NCAA may take a couple of scholarships away for a year or so. Huge embarrassment for UofL but not much else.

      10:53 am October 8, 2015 Permalink

she claims the texts were erased by a virus… if the texts ever actually existed, they can be found through the provider. and the money can be traced through the bank. if/when the authorities with subpoena power get involved, they will make sure that information is found. until then, it’s he-said-she-said

You can subpoena phone records, including text messages. Or she can sign an authorization for her her text messages to be provided to her attorneys. I have heard there is at least one wire transfer receipt for money. Just follow the paper trail the money left.

There is A LOT of evidence in the EKU threat that has not hit the media yet. I’m not sure when it will be released. Snapchat, photos showing the guy with a V for Vendetta mask, 4chan screenshots with showing comments from the suspect (IP address), etc. They have a person of interest from what I understand.

  14. SMH
    10:47 am October 8, 2015 Permalink

I’m tired of everybody asking “why did they have to pay for it, there are lots of girls who would come over”

THEY WANTED A SURE THING, OK? They didn’t want to bring in a recruit, and hook him up with a girl who wanted to get to know him before taking their relationship to the next level. They wanted to get laid, get the recruits laid, no ifs and or buts ( a few butts, sure)

    • ukjaybrat
      10:48 am October 8, 2015 Permalink

you know what jersey chasers are right ? They exist on every campus and they are pretty much a sure thing. there is a very large middle ground between hooker and wife where you can still find a “sure thing”

    • J-Dub421

See my comment above, pros are paid to leave after.

  15. CatsChickinCardsCountry
    10:47 am October 8, 2015 Permalink

Everybody keeps asking why would they have to pay for it. I think the real reason is because they assumed a prostitute would have some level of confidentiality, whereas any college student could go blasting it all over social media. Now obviously, that confidentiality backfired on them, but in my opinion, that’s exactly why it was handled in that manner.

    • ukjaybrat
      10:50 am October 8, 2015 Permalink

see my reply to #14… if a recruit hooked up a recruit with a jersey chaser, there’s no way you could prove it wasn’t consensual, therefore no violation as far as i know.

    • f Lee bailey
      10:51 am October 8, 2015 Permalink

Lol yes because we all know hookers are trustworthy. I have appointed one as executor of my estate.

    • BlueRedneck
      11:04 am October 8, 2015 Permalink

Who knows what they were thinking, if it even happened. But I agree with others that if you are trying to reel in recruits in this manner, going with a “pro” who just wants to get paid for her “services”, versus a groupie or “jersey chaser” who may want to brag about it to her friends, is much safer. A true “pro” is going to keep her mouth shut because she does not want to endanger future business. And when you bring in a pro, it’s going to be a done deal – no worries about some college chic changing her mind because she thinks the recruit is an a-hole.

    • J-Dub421
      11:08 am October 8, 2015 Permalink

Hookers may not be trustworthy, but Pitino isn’t any more trustworthy. How many lies has that guy been caught in?
