“Last Chance U” star Isaiah Wright charged in fatal stabbing

It’s no secret that we are big Last Chance U fans here at the KSR office; our football crew even made a stop in Scooba for East Mississippi’s season opener only a couple of weeks ago. So we were pretty bothered to see a headline this morning about one of the show’s stars, Isaiah Wright, and his connection in a fatal stabbing in East Tennessee.

Wright and his brother, Camion Patrick, who also appeared on the show, have been charged with criminal homicide in connection to the death of an 18-year-old in Alcoa, Tennessee back in July. Both brothers were arrested on Wednesday.

Patrick was on the EMCC team that won the JUCO national championship in 2014, and was enrolled at Indiana University at the time of his arrest.

Wright, a key figure in Season 2 of Last Chance U, signed with West Georgia after his time in Mississippi, but dropped out before the beginning of the 2017 season.

Pretty sad really. In just a few seconds of rage, misjudgment, excessive pride, etc, you can ruin someone else’s life and your own.
