Please do not lump bourbon in with UofL fans. They drink Crown Royal. Crown Royal is cheap canadian whisky that is very well marketed to dumb people with dumber tatoos. Bourbon is a mans drink, a Kentuckians drink. I expect a retraction and an apology. Good day.

Oh yea… besides the fact that bourbon was INVENTED ON CORN ISLAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OHIO OFF THE COAST OF WHAT IS NOW DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE AROUND 1778… OR the fact that currently 1/3 of the WORLD’S BOURBON IS MADE WITHIN LOUISVILLE CITY LIMITS and 90% IS MADE WITHIN 20 MILES OF LOUISVILLE… Or the fact that bourbon was FIRST commercially sold by EVAN WILLIAMS (a Louisville politician) on 5th street in downtown Louisville… OR first bottled in glass containers by George Brown in Louisville…
OR the fact that some of the oldest most known brands have always been and will always be Louisville bourbon.
Louisville makes kentucky what it is… Get your head out of your ass you inbred UK fans. try learning some facts next time.

I have to agree with “danger” here… I work in the bourbon industry and live in louisville. His facts check out, louisville definitely was the birthplace of bourbon in more than one way.
As far as cities go, lexington really is the retarded cousin to louisville. Louisville is Kentucky’s ONLY first class city after all by population.

danger – so what you’re saying, is that bourbon was invented “on the coast” of Louisville? Is that Atlantic or Pacific? And it was “invented” in Scotland (scotch) and refined in KY; conflicting reports state that it was either developed in Nelson Co. or Bourbon (<—- ironic) Co., both of which are hours away from Louisville.

Wow… “Kentuckian”… You really are as redneck and uneducated as they come, aren’t you? Try doing some research before you open your inbred mouth next time because I actually work for a major bourbon company and know the history… Unlike you. For your information, smart one, louisville, kentucky’s biggest city is known as “river city”… As I mentioned, if you would read, louisville sits on the Ohio. The coast of the Ohio, in which sat corn island, is where bourbon was first distilled with 51% corn… Which makes bourbon. Also… You obviously have NO clue what you are talking about because Scotland has as much to do with bourbon as you do. They make whiskey over there smart one, big difference. And the two counties you mentioned have nothing to do with the invention of the drink idiot. That’s just where a lot of it was shipped from in the mid 1800’s… Go read a book loser. Louisville is bourbons birthplace
