Matt so surprised long married Harold is smart enough not to want to give his wife 24 hours notice of a radio show at her house when they have company.

We could all learn a lot from Harold.

I got interrupted. What animal are they trying to night time bow hunt???

Ah, fish. I’m sure that will work.

      Asian Carp.

If I was Tomlin I’d show up in a bullet proof vest and a helmet.

I worry that one of those carp are going to come crashing through my windshield when I’m hauling across the river at 50 mph. They say that the sound of an approaching motor causes them to jump.

That’s a crazy video! They could also just toss a grenade or 2 and have the same effect. Haha.

      Are those fish edible?

    • ClutchCargo
      11:03 am September 18, 2019 Permalink

They are. But I’m not a fan of really oily, bony fish like carp tend to be.

My wife got really creeped out watching that video, btw. She is scarred for life from being nibbled on by bluegill when swimming in lakes as a kid, and just wants nothing to do with touching a fish or seeing one jumping around unless it’s in an aquarium.

I’m going to put on my environmentalist tree hugger cap for a moment – Asian Carp are yet another example of how effective we are as a species at screwing up the environment. In addition to good old fashioned pollution and litter, we have brought over hundreds of invasive species that may turn out to be even more of a threat than pollution. Take a stroll through the woods to see what the Emerald Ash Borer has done. You will also see the Asian Honeysuckle that is taking over the understory of the forests, along with multifloral rose, kudzu (a favorite of cc’s neck of the woods), and many others. It’s just sad that this effect of global trade was never really never considered. You can’t pin it on one political party or the other, and now the genie is out the bottle.

The sad thing is a lot of these things were intentionally brought over to solve one problem, but ended up creating an even greater problem. Then there was the group of idiots in the 1800’s who brought 100 European starlings to Central Park in NYC because they wanted America to have every bird that Shakespeare ever mentioned. Every one of the huge swarms of them that we have today descended from that original 100. Thanks, guys.

Humans do lots of stupid things because they just don’t think about consequences. There was an English woman who was travelling (in the early 1900’s), who brought her cat with her. Long story short, her one cat exterminated an entire species of bird found only on this one island in a matter of months. The entire species is extinct because of one lady and her cat. (Side note: never let your cats outside. They are cute furry little assassins.)

Clutch, we get harassed by pesky little bluegill that think they are pirahnas every year at Dale Hollow.

Hopefully Matt doesn’t shoot himself with an arrow like the dude in Deliverance.

(yeah, I know it was an arrow from his quill that went through him, but it sounds better. 🙂 )

Those little dudes will bite anything that comes close to their nests. You can almost catch them with a bare hook during the spawning season.

More proof that cats are evil, J-Dub. Except wildcats, of course. They are the good guys.

Dogs kill stuff too, cats are just better at it. 🙂

I’m with Drew…throw to Wagner until the defense can’t stop it.

    • ClutchCargo

The defense already can’t stop it. He is one on one with a much smaller defender almost every play. Make them choose whether to double team him or Bowden, and then feed the other one.

O line U was exactly my thought when I saw that guy decommitted from PSU. Schlarman deserves a raise!!! That has been the most consistently good to great unit since Stoops took over at UK (except the first 2 years of course when the talent was way down across the board).

    • J-Dub421
      11:03 am September 18, 2019 Permalink

Agreed. We are now 2 deep across the o-line with no drop-off, and can keep bringing younger guys along slowly. Stoops and company really have built a program.

Do the 2 players that where flagged for targeting have to sit out the first half of the Miss. St. game.

    • RealCatsFan
      11:24 am September 18, 2019 Permalink

If it happened in the 2nd half, I think they sit out the 1st half of the next game.

    • J-Dub421
      11:24 am September 18, 2019 Permalink

Carter will because his was in the second half. Corker got ejected in the first quarter, so he will be available to play the whole next game.

Just what we need – another f-tard trying to get in a political shot at the end of the show. Sounds like he just beamed down from the moronosphere.
